Huntsville, Ala. (WHNT) - If you think playoffs in college football won't happen for at least another season, think again.

When New Hope running back Johnathan Ford decommitted from Vanderbilt, he boiled his choices down to four schools: Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida State.  Now, his high school coach tells WHNT News 19 Ford is down to the Tigers and Vols.

It may be difficult figuring out which school might give him more playing time.  When you add the number of running backs on each roster with the number of running backs on their verbal commitment lists, they both total seven, as of Monday.  This means the competition may be equal in terms of quantity.

Ford will make his announcement at 11:00 AM Wednesday.
