Dan McWhinney and the Huntsville Havoc are playing of the their best hockey this season. Glenn Detulleo's team dug themselves a hole early in the season and now seem to be climbing out of it. Much of their success comes from the good net play of Dan McWhinney.

McWhinney currently ranks first in the SPHL in minutes played and saves and is tied for second with two shutouts, while his 13 wins are third-most.  McWhinney currently ranks third on the all-time Havoc list for wins.  He led Huntsville to the 2009-10 SPHL President’s Cup Championship, going 7-1 with a 1.96 goals against average and a .922 save percentage and took home playoff MVP honors.
