HAZEL GREEN, Ala. (WHNT) -- Volunteer firefighters worked for several hours overnight to extinguish a house fire that rekindled.

Neighbors on Brookview Drive in Hazel Green first reported the fire at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.  Firefighters thought it was out, but it rekindled around 10:00 p.m.

Firefighters are unsure if anyone lived in the home.  The Madison County Fire Marshal's Office will search for the cause.
