HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Madison County Sheriff’s Office says a Huntsville man is being held on child pornography charges.

Timothy Rose, 58, is charged with possession and dissemination of child pornography.  Investigators searched his home in Huntsville on January 24 and seized computer and media equipment.  They had obtained a warrant after Rose shared computer files containing child pornography, investigators said.

Rose is being held in the Madison County Jail on $10,000 bond.

Investigators say Rose downloaded several hundred images and videos containing child pornography.  They continue to look into further connections, to try to see if more arrests can be made.

“The Madison County Sheriff’s Office continues to pursue these crimes in an aggressive manner and will stop at nothing to arrest and prosecute individuals who choose to commit internet crimes involving children,” said Sgt. Brian Chaffin of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
