BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Paul Finebaum, arguably the most popular person in Alabama sports radio, has left WJOX.

According to a report on, Finebaum is moving to a competing station.  The report also says WJOX’s program director, Ryan Haney, will switch stations as well. reports Finebaum is still exploring his options.

Until today, Finebaum’s show aired on WUMP in Huntsville.  WHNT News 19 spoke with Jason Marks, at WUMP, who said Finebaum’s show will not air today.  He said “The Roundtable” will air in its place indefinitely.

We also checked with 97.7 the Zone, another Huntsville sports radio station.  WHNT News 19 asked if Finebaum’s show might be moving there. They said “No comment.”
