One Man Arrested After Attempted Armed Robbery In Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – One man was arrested after an attempted armed robbery in Huntsville Tuesday night.

Huntsville Police say two men walked into the Texaco convenience store at 4011 University Drive just after 8:00 p.m.

Police say one of the men produced a knife and began taking bottles of wine.  That’s when the owner of the business produced a handgun.

The two men then left the store without taking anything.

Huntsville Police detained the two men for questioning.  One man was released.

The other man, Mark Neeley Jr., was arrested and charged with Robbery First Degree.
