LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) -- Interstate 65 North near Athens was especially slow for several hours Monday night, when an 18 wheeler ran off the roadway and ended up on its side.  Alabama State Troopers say the truck driver swerved to miss a deer.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Monday at the 347 mile marker, which is 7 miles north of the Interstate 65/565 interchange.  The truck was carrying large rolls of paper.  It took crews about five hours to clean up the mess.

There were no injuries.
