HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Local emergency managers are breathing a slight sigh of relief, they say we seemed to have dodged any major wide-spread flooding in the area.

Flood advisories for the area issued following days of continued rain in the region have been canceled. The Tennessee River is expected to crest around 20 ft. Friday afternoon,  several feet lower than expected.

Emergency managers say areas around Ditto Landing may flood Friday.
