At the BASF Huntsville Plant, we make the chemistry and technology used in vehicle catalytic converters and other environmental products. As part of our team, employees help us conceive, design, implement and validate new equipment, technologies and processes to help make our world’s environment cleaner. Our maintenance department plays a vital role in the success of our plant. The maintenance planner will be responsible for:
– Managing unplanned work orders
– Generating job plans including labor, material, equipment and services
– Creating job packets for field execution
– Continually improving job plans via updates based on feedback
– Working closely with the maintenance coordinator and maintaining liaison between production and maintenance
– Responsible for planning and coordinating all plan able maintenance work performed on the site
– Responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance related matters
– Completing job plans to ensure the safe and efficient execution of all maintenance work
– Create job packets as needed

Qualifications – BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
– High school diploma required; trade school or college preferred
– 10+ years industrial maintenance or engineering experience working with automated manufacturing machinery
– Proven computer skills, work will be planned using the BASF CMMS systems (SAP)
– Working knowledge of general maintenance business practices including parts, procurement, contracting work and measuring craft performance
– Must have a general understanding of industrial maintenance procedures including work planning, PM and repair parts acquisition
– Must be capable of making business decisions based upon situation analysis and resources available
– Working knowledge of craft capabilities and requirements
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
– Self directed – requires minimal supervision
– Able to work in a team environment
– Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
– Proven experience creating job plans to support maintenance work orders
– Agree to work the necessary hours to ensure site is supported both during normal work periods and outages.
– Will require working weekends and holidays as necessary
