UPDATE: Shooting Leads To Officer-Involved Wreck

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Huntsville Police are investigating a shooting that led to an officer-involved wreck.

It happened Tuesday just after 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Johnson Road and Triana Blvd.

Huntsville Police on the scene said someone had shot inside an occupied vehicle. Officers responded to that original call. Police say during a traffic stop with a vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting, two police cruisers somehow crashed into each other causing damage. Luckily, no one was injured but the police cars were both towed from the scene. 

Police say two people were detained and the shooting investigation continues.
