URS is looking for a senior engineer in Huntsville.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Engineering or related scientific field and at least 10 years of job-related experience. Excellent communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Job Description:
URS is seeking an Engineer(Senior) to provide support to the URS government client for Engineering (DE) in assessing and reporting the capabilities and limitations (C&L) of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) in Huntsville, AL.Ideal candidate attributes include:• Previous systems engineering experience• Previous BMDS program experience• Understanding of/experience with BMD command, control, battle management and communications (C2BMC), including transmission and use of external sensor data• Strong understanding of BMD engagement concepts• Understanding of advanced tracking techniques such as composite tracking, cooperative engagement coordination and joint track management capability.Tasks include:• Review BMDS test results, performance assessments, BMDS Element C&L reports.• Support daily technical interchange meetings and independent analysis of BMDS Programs, internal and external offices, organizations, departments and agencies.• Provide periodic oral and written reports on status of area C&L.• Consolidate findings in bi-annual BMDS Capabilities and Limitations reports.• Modify synthesized and distilled results for use by or incorporation into internal MDA or other agency products such as the BMDS Assess-to-Criteria Document, the Ballistic Missile Defense Report, the BMDS Handbook, the OTA Assessment Criteria and Reports, and Capabilities Declaration reports.Essential candidate attributes include:• Background in system analysis and BMD System operations.• Excellent, established computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office suite.• Ability to plan, coordinate, and support product development in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.• Ability to synthesize, distill, integrate, and report complex technical information.• Excellent people and organizational skills.• Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate engineering or hard science discipline.
