HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Louis Booth was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma about three years ago.

His early attempts at treatment were unsuccessful, so when he heard about a new clinical trial at Clearview Cancer Institute in Huntsville, he jumped at the opportunity.

After only one treatment, the results were remarkable. The swelling in his lymph nodes was down by 50 percent.

The drug Booth is taking is called Ublituximab, and doctors are combining it with a pill form of chemotherapy.

Booth is the first person to receive this combination of treatments. He says it's the best Christmas present he's ever received.
