Havoc Hang on at Home, 5-4

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Justin Fox and Kyle Laughlin both netted third period goals breaking a tie give and lifting the Huntsville Havoc to a 5-4 win over the Louisiana Ice Gators Wednesday night.

Brett Liscomb put the Havoc on the board first with 11:06 left in the first as the period would end with the Havoc up 1-0.

Chapen LeBlond scored with 13:13 left in the seond and Liscomb added his second goal of the night with 9:46 left and the Havoc had a 3-0 lead.

Robert Short scored his first of three goals with 6:23 left and Marc Andre Carre added another with 5:00 left. Short scored a powerplay goal with 2:18 left in the third and the game would head to the thrid period tied at 3-3.

The Havoc came out firing in the third period as Fox scored with 16:09 left and Laughlin gave the Havoc a two goal lead with 13:42 left. Short would add another powerplay goal with 11:15 remaining to cut the lead to one.

Dan McWhinney made 27 saves in the win while Jesse Kallechy made 32 in the loss.

The Havoc will host the Mississippi Surge on Friday night at 7:30.
