New warning sign for motorists on I-65.

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – The Alabama Department of Transportation has installed new signs with flashing warning lights on Interstate-65 near the scene of three major traffic accidents last month that claimed two lives.

The signs warn drivers of a pair of approaching curves in the interstate highway.

Two tractor-trailer rigs and an automobile crashed at the site in separate accidents in November. Two drivers were killed.

Authorities in nearby Falkville tell WHNT News 19 the area has been the scene of dozens of accidents over the years.

Temporary signs warning motorists to slow down for curves ahead also remain in pklace for now.
