HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – There’s good news to report about a local school that was forced to close for two days due to excessive flu-related absences.

Westminster Christian Academy in Huntsville opened again on Monday, and the school reports a drastic improvement in attendance numbers so far this week.

The school had nearly 50 absences among students and teachers on just one day last week, and closed Thursday and Friday.  Healthy employees spent several hours those days disinfecting desks, chairs, hallways and bathrooms.
