Robbery at Bank Independent in Hartselle

HARTSELLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Hartselle Police are on the scene of a bank robbery at Bank Independent on Highway 31 in Morgan County.

The incident happened just before 8:00 p.m. Police say a male approached the teller through the drive-through window and said he had a gun. The suspect was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and his face was covered.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken and the man ran away.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department brought in dogs to track down the robber, but were unsuccessful.

Police describe the robber as a white male in his 30’s, who’s six feet tall and weighs about 185 pounds. He’s bald or has a shaved head and has dark eyes and eyebrows.
