Normal, Ala. (WHNT) - Alabama A&M must defeat Jackson State at four o'clock Thursday afternoon to have any chance of winning the SWAC East Division.

They'll also need help.

Alabama State must also lose to Southern that evening.  If both things happen, the Bulldogs will be in Birmingham.

Even if the Hornets do not lose, Alabama A&M will still have eight wins.  Coach Anthony Jones says it's conceivable the FCS Playoffs will choose the Bulldogs because of their resume.  They would be available to play because the SWAC Title Game happens during the playoffs, preventing the winner to compete for the National Championship.
