Decatur Police Officer Charged With Domestic Violence

TRINITY, Ala. (WHNT) – A Decatur police officer was arrested last week for a charge of third-degree domestic violence.

Archie Loyd Letson, Jr. turned himself in to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, October 12.  Letson, 34, lives in Trinity.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Gene Mitchell, Letson’s wife said there was an altercation at their home in the early morning hours of October 10.  

Archie Letson was booked in the Lawrence County Jail and posted his $1,000 bond.

His charge is a misdemeanor.
