Child Riding Bicycle in Meridianville Neighborhood Hit by Car

MERIDIANVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Madison County Sheriff’s deputies and HEMSI  paramedics responded to the scene where a vehicle hit a child riding his bike. This happened on Bellevue Drive in Meridianville around 5:15 p.m.

A 7-year-old boy was riding a bicycle in the road when a car hit the tire of his bike.  The child got hurt when he fell off the bicycle from the vehicle’s impact, but witnesses say he was not physically hit by the car.

Alabama State Troopers investigated the crash and it is not known if there will be any charges for the driver involved.

Paramedics did take the child to the hospital, but he is expected to be OK.
