Huntsville, Ala. (WHNT) - UAH Hockey returned to the ice with a new head coach, Kurt Kleinendorst and perhaps a new attitude.

The result was a 12-1 beatdown of Alabama's club team, the Frozen Tide.  Bama was the defending SEC champions.

Kyle Lysaght led the way for the Chargers with five goals.  UAH had 54 more shots on goal than Alabama.  The Chargers used two netminders but needed just four saves for the 60 minutes.

Chargers return to the VBC Sunday to take on the same Frozen Tide squad.
