Tuscaloosa, Ala. - The Alabama football team held a two-hour practice, its first of the bye week, on Tuesday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.

"There are a lot of fundamental things we would like to improve this week,” said Alabama head coach Nick Saban. “Tackling on defense was not as good as it has been. Also, inconsistencies in the passing game and the running game, too many negative plays and red zone efficiency.”

The Crimson Tide will have an additional two practices on Wednesday and Thursday this week before beginning preparations for Missouri on Monday. Kickoff for Alabama's game against the Tigers on Saturday, Oct. 13, is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT on WHNT News 19.

"We will work on future things we have not seen up to this point over the next two days as well,” Saban added. “We had a lot of positive energy out there today and did a good job in what we were doing, and I think we got better.”
