MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) -- A jogger has died after being hit by a car this morning in Gurley.

Debra Clark, 59, was hit by a car around 6 a.m. on Bob Stiles Road.  This is near Sharps Cove Road, in northeast Madison County.

Clark's son confirmed her death to WHNT News 19.  He said his mother died "doing what she loved".

Alabama State Troopers and HEMSI responded and rushed Clark to Huntsville Hospital.  They had called a medical helicopter in, but it couldn't land due to foggy conditions.

Troopers continue to investigate the incident.
