HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - The City Cafe Diner on Drake Avenue near Memorial Parkway is in the process of opening to the public.  The restaurant is currently open during the day, but will soon be open 24 hours a day.

The restaurant has more than 300 items on the menu - everything from pancakes, burgers, Italian and Greek food, which you'll be able to get any time of the day, seven days a week.

"We have about 350 items on the menu, and this is a place where, when you come in, you can have a waffle and eggs, or you can order surf and turf at 3 in the morning," said Maria Kapnissis.

City Cafe Diner specializes in Greek food.  The employees say their motto is "You won't walk away hungry."

The diner chain has been featured in Food Network's diner wars.  The first thing you'll notice when you walk in the door is the beautiful array of desserts, including chocolate, pastries, fruit tarts, carrot cake and baklava.
