Distracted driving is a major hazard for adults but even more so for inexperienced drivers like teenagers. Fortunately, there are some good apps available to help parents keep track of teens on the road.

Here are just a few to check out:

Drive Safely - Available for Apple, Android, Blackberry and Windows devices. This app reads texts and emails out loud in real time - allowing drivers to respond without touching the phone.

Teen Agree - Uses GPS to let parents track where teens are driving, plus their speed.

Key 2 Safe Driving - Works with hardware installed in a vehicle to block text messages and phone calls entirely. Incoming calls go to voicemail and text messages get an auto reply.
