Stars Drop Fourth-Straight

Pearl, Miss. – To cap off a five-game series at Trustmark Park, the Huntsville Stars dropped their fourth straight game to the Mississippi Braves by a score of 3-2 on Thursday night. Stars starting pitcher Jimmy Nelson fell to 1-4 on the year after giving up three runs (two earned) in five innings pitched. On offense, the Stars got an RBI double from Hainley Statia and a RBI single from Hunter Morris. For Morris, the run batted in was his 100th of the season. He is the first Stars player to reach triple-digit RBI’s since Mike Coolbaugh in 1997.

The Stars return home to Joe Davis Stadium on Friday to start off a five-game series with the Birmingham Barons. First pitch is at 6:43 P.M.
