KILPATRICK, Ala. (WHNT) – Two people were arrested Tuesday after drug agents found a large amount of marijuana growing on their property.  They spotted the plants by air.

DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said drug task force agents, deputies and state officers found these during an air and ground search around the county.  Air units spotted several plants near a home on County Road 179 in the Kilpatrick area.  Agents seized 72 plants in all, some more than six feet high.  Sheriff Harris said the estimated street value of the plants would be $144,000.
