Madison City Council of PTA Holds Political Forum

The Madison City Council of PTA will host a political forum of candidates for Madison City municipal offices on Monday, August 20, 2012. The event will be held at Bob Jones High School’s Zompa Auditorium at 6 p.m.  All candidates for city council as well as Madison’s two mayoral candidates will be invited to participate.

Candidates will be questioned by a three person panel that includes a Madison City parent, teacher and school board member. WHNT News 19’s Venton Blandin will moderate. Interested citizens may submit questions for the candidates in advance by clicking here. The event is provided as a community service and is open to the general public.  All interested citizens are encouraged to attend. Admission is free. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

The Madison City Council of PTA is a non-profit organization which coordinates and assists the individual PTAs in Madison City Schools. It exists to promote the welfare of children and youth and encourage partnership between parents, the community and schools. Madison City Council of PTA is completely non-partisan, does not endorse individual candidates and is not affiliated with any political party.
