Arson Investigation Underway After House Fire in Madison

MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) – Fire investigators are calling it arson, after a fire erupts at a home in Madison.
Firefighters responded to the call shortly after 7:00 Wednesday night on Burgreen Road.
When they got there, flames were shooting from the roof of the home.
It took several hours for crews to put out the blaze. Firefighters say the fire began in the basement and spread to the attic. No one was home at the time.
The case has been turned over to the state fire marshal's office for investigation.
