Auburn Holds Another Scrimmage At Jordan-Hare
Auburn, Ala. – Auburn practiced twice on Wednesday, holding a 90-minute morning workout in helmets and shoulder pads at the Auburn Athletics Complex Practice Fields.
Wednesday evening, the Tigers held a 95-play full-contact officiated scrimmage at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
“There were some good things in the scrimmage, but we were too sporadic,” said Auburn head coach Gene Chizik. “Slowly but surely, we’re cutting down the errors, but there are still too many.
“We’ve got a lot of guys being beat up and tired but battling through, which is good to see. That is by design – we’ve got to develop that edge mentally. I’m proud of them. They’re beat up, but they’re fighting for jobs.”
Chizik also announced that three Tigers — deep snapper Jake Lembke, tailback Corey Grant, and defensive back Trent Fisher – have been placed on scholarship for the Fall Semester. Classes for the Fall Semester begin Thursday at Auburn.
