Huntsville School Board Hires Dozens Of Educators

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Huntsville City School Board held a special meeting on Friday. Board members approved the superintendent’s recommendation to hire 28 educators.

Superintendent Dr. Casey Wardynski said most of the new educators will work in the city’s high schools.  All will join the school district next week.

The board had to hold a special meeting due to timing constraints. The new employees will start required training next week.

The school board also approved the hiring of Dr. Julie Finley, who comes from Madison City Schools, where she worked as Assistant Principal at Bob Jones High School. Dr. Finley will be the district’s Director of Education Technology.
