HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Brett Russell, fired from the Huntsville Police Department in May for violating departmental regulations in the field, is getting his job back.

Thursday night the Huntsville City Council voted unanimously to reinstate Russell. The council also voted to place another reinstated officer, P.J. Lee, on 30 days suspension, and ordered he undergo extensive training and anger management.

Lee was caught on dash cam video grabbing a woman out of her car and slamming her to the ground during a traffic stop.  He was also accused of punching a handcuffed man who was not resisting arrest.
