Cab Driver Robbed at Gunpoint in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) -- Huntsville Police are investigating the robbery of a driver who works for A Plus Cab Company.

The cab driver says just after 11:30 two men approached his cab at the corner of Governors Drive and Clinton Avenue.  One man had a gun, but it was the other man that hit the driver over the head.  They demanded money and got $40 from the driver before taking off towards Stone Middle School.

The driver is expected to be okay.  He said he pulled over to put air into one of his tires when the men approached him.

Huntsville Police are searching the area for the two men, one of whom was wearing a blue shirt and black pants, while the other was wearing black shorts and no shirt.
