Huntsville, Ala. (WHNT) - In January, Roy Heintz put together a fundraiser during one of his basketball games.

The UAHuntsville women's basketball coach took off his shoes and socks and coached a game while barefoot.  He did this to raise money for Samaritan's Feet, a program designed to raise money for shoes and socks for children who do not have either.

Today, Heintz emailed me and said he raised more than $6,000 for the cause, which bought more than 600 shoes and socks for those who need them.  He plans to travel to Jamaica later this summer to deliver the footwear.
