BOAZ, Ala. (WHNT) — Two soldiers serving in Afghanistan won their dream wedding with the help of your votes.

Bobby Hill and Katie Durham were one of four couples selected as finalists in Magnolia Plantation and Garden’s “Sharing the Romance” contest.

The Charleston, S.C., destination announced the winners Wednesday, just after noon EDT.

They are both first lieutenants in the Army.

Hill is from Boaz, and is a graduate of Sardis High School and Jacksonville State University.

Durham is from Miramar, Fla., and they met in 2009 at Army Airborne School in Fort Benning, Ga.

He proposed in December, but the couple deployed to Afghanistan in January.

Durham discovered the website for the wedding site which required them to make a video.

They are stationed at two different sites, but supervising officers arranged them to get together to share their story, which they uploaded to YouTube.
