Police Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting In Decatur

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – Decatur Police are investigating a shooting involving an officer on Woodall Road, near Highway 24.

One person was killed. 

WHNT News 19 is on the scene.  Lt. John Crouch says a car was parked on the side of the road.  Someone called a tow truck, and police responded at the same time to check out the situation.

Lt. Crouch said the person who was shot was in a car.  He did not say if that person had a weapon or not.  Multiple shots were fired, and the officer did fire his gun.
