Decatur Police are now looking for a Decatur man in connection to a path of destruction left behind in a neighborhood on the city’s southwest side Sunday night.

Police say they obtained four arrest warrants for 36 year old Ronald David Garner, Jr., for leaving the scene of an accident.

Garner was allegedly driving an SUV that witnesses say smashed mailboxes and cars along Brookline Avenue, Brookline Court and Gaslight Place Southwest.

It happened around 8:45 pm.

One witness compared the sound of it to a train smashing through the streets.

Within 30 minutes after the incident, police had received six reports of damage to cars and property.
