Stars Swept By Barons

Birmingham, Ala. - On Tuesday night, the Huntsville Stars fell to the Birmingham Barons by a score of 5-1 to cap off being swept in a three-game series at Regions Park. Huntsville starting pitcher Kyle Heckathorn fell to 2-9 on the season after giving up four runs on eight hits in 4.2 innings of work. On offense, the Stars got their only run in the ninth inning on a RBI triple by right fielder Kentrail Davis. Huntsville has now lost four straight four in a row overall and five out of their last six.

The Stars will open up a six-game series at home on Wednesday for the first of three games against the Jacksonville Suns. Gates will open at 5:30 P.M. with a special July 4th fireworks show following the conclusion of the game. First pitch at 6:43 P.M.
