HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Are you interested in electric cars?  Maybe you drive one already.  Here’s your chance to meet others with the same interests and learn about clean, renewable electricity as well.

On Monday, July 16 you’re invited to attend an Electric Car Meet-up in Huntsville.  It will be held at the Redstone Park and Energy Demonstration Center, located at the corner of Memorial Parkway and Airport Road.  You’ve probably driven by this site and noticed all the large solar panels.

The center is now operational, and has electric car stations available where you can charge vehicles.

You can learn about the cars, vehicle charging stations, solar-to-electric energy systems and sustainable clean energy.

Some of the cars you’ll see include a Tesla Roadster, a Fisker Karma, a Chevy Volt, a Nissan Leaf and a Mitsubishi i-Miev.

There are two sessions for the meet-up on July 16, so pick a time that is convenient for you.  Come from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
