Alabama A&M Kicker Wilson Earns Another Honor

The Bulldog football squad place kicker, Chance Wilson, was named to the College Football Performance Awards watch list for the 2012 season.

Wilson had his best performance as a Bulldog in 2011. The Huntsville product went 11-15 in field goals and was 27-30 in PAT’s. He led the team in total scoring with 60 points.

During the season, Wilson was selected by the College Football Performance Awards on four different occasions. The rising senior kicker hit his farthest field goals last year, the first for 49 yards a career long that broke an eight year Bulldog record once held by Rashad Cylar and the second a 45 yarder that put A&M up 6-0 in the first quarter vs. Jackson State.
The All-SWAC first team and College Sports Madness selection finished 2011 with 66 punts for 2,493 yards with 22 falling inside the 20 yard line. His longest was 58 yards.
 
Chance finished his junior season eighth in scoring (5.0), tied for third in scoring by kicking (5.0), seventh in punting (37.8), second in field goals made (0.92) and fifth in PAT kicking percentage (90.0) all in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
