Fullback Ladarious Phillips may have quit the Auburn football team, but he didn't necessarily want to quit college ball altogether.

Jacksonville State head coach Jack Crowe told several reporters Phillips had plans to transfer to his school and be ready for the 2012 season.  He added the transfer process was coming along slowly and probably would not have enrolled until July.

But Phillips never did get that chance to play college football again.  He was once of the victims of the shootings at Auburn University Saturday night.  Crowe offered his condolences during his interviews.
