Below is a statement from the Alabama Department of Public Safety concerning the arrest of Nick Fairley:
At 1:13 a.m. today, an Alabama state trooper was patrolling the area of westbound Interstate 10 near Tillman's Corner in Mobile County when he was passed from behind by a black 2010 Cadillac Escalade. The Escalade was traveling at 100 mph. After initially refusing to yield to emergency lights and siren, the vehicle’s driver eventually stopped near the U.S. 90 overpass. The driver, later identified as Nicholas L. Fairley, 24, Mobile, showed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested without incident and charged with driving under the influence and attempting to elude police. Additionally, he was issued traffic citations for reckless driving, no proof of insurance and open container. Nothing further is available.
