A Madison County judge has set a trial date for Iqbal Memon.  He is the father of Hammad Memon, the teen accused in the Discovery Middle School shooting.

Dr. Iqbal Memon is charged with hindering prosecution, along with his wife, Safia Memon.

Their son, Hammad Memon, is charged with the murder of Todd Brown.  The teenager was awaiting trial at home when his mother allegedly took him to Dallas, Texas.  The two had Pakistani passports and prosecutors believed they were trying to leave the country.

Dr. Memon’s trial is set for September 10 in Judge Donna Pate’s courtroom.  Barry Abston is representing Dr. Memon.  Bob Becher is prosecuting the case for the Madison County District Attorney’s office.

Safia Memon’s trial date has not been set yet.  Hammad Memon’s trial is currently delayed.
