The Decatur Police Department is warning business owners who sell synthetic drugs known as “spice” and “bath salts” to stop doing so immediately.

The drugs, recently declared illegal in Alabama, have been confiscated in several stores across the Tennessee Valley.

Decatur Police Lt. Jonathan Green is offering to take the drugs off store owner hands, without the chance of arrest or prosecution.  “Owners who take this step to voluntarily remove these substances from their store will not face charges, ” Lt. Green said in a news release.
