Governor Robert Bentley’s office on Friday released the April unemployment rate.  It’s down to 7.2% from 7.4%.

“Alabama hasn’t seen an unemployment rate this low since the start of the recession,” Governor Bentley said.  “I think we are getting to a point where we are seeing many areas of the economy improving.”

Thursday, the governor was in Huntsville to announce the expansion of the Toyota plant, adding 125 new jobs.

Limestone County has one of the lowest unemployment rates, currently at 5.6%.
