In dramatic fashion, the Huntsville Stars pulled out a 3-2 victory in 11 innings against the Jackson Generals in the finale of a five game series at Pringles Park to move in to sole posession of first place in the Southern League North. After a Josh Prince RBI single tied up the game at 2-2 in the sixth inning, everything remained scoreless until the top of the 11th inning where Domnit Bolivar came through with a bases-loaded RBI single to score Scooter Gennett for the eventual game-winning run. In terms of pitching, Stars RHP Robert Wooten improved to 3-0 on the season in two innings of scoreless relief and RHP R.J Seidel notched his first save of the season after sending down the Generals scoreless in the bottom of the 11th. The win for Huntsville was their fourth in a row.

The first-place Stars will begin a five-game homestand at Joe Davis Stadium on Friday with the Mississippi Braves. Huntsville will send LHP Dan Merklinger (1-3, 7.23 ERA) to square off against RHP Zeke Spruill (2-3, 4.58 ERA). First pitch is at 6:43 PM.
