Florence’s Pendleton Says He Won’t Run Again

A longtime Florence city councilman has announced he will not seek a sixth term.  Sam Pendleton, who represents District One, has served on the council since August of 1992.

In a statement, Pendleton says his departure will create an opportunity for the city to take a new direction.

Pendleton currently serves as Chairman of the Public Service Committee for the City of Florence.
