(MONTGOMERY) – Alabama has more than 250 state flags on the Capitol lawn today.  Each one represents a person who died in the tornado outbreak one year ago today.

“Our thoughts and our prayers remain with those who have suffered great loss and are continuing the difficult task of rebuilding,” said Governor Robert Bentley.

Bentley and other state leaders held a prayer service at 9 a.m.  They offered encouragement and support to the state as it continues to heal from the tragedy.
