(MOBILE, AL) — A Mobile man is recovering after being beaten by a group of people.  Police say the attackers jumped on him after he complained about kids playing basketball in the street in front of his house.

Police say they are still investigating Saturday’s incident.  Officers believe a number of adults returned to the area afterward and beat the man with pipes, paint cans and chairs.

Police are hoping someone will come forward to help in the investigation.

“It was one of those situations where there was a ton of people there but for some reason not a lot of details were given to investigators that night,” said Chris Levy, with the Mobile Police Department.

The victim’s sister claims as one of the attackers was walking away, he mentioned the beating was justice for Trayvon Martin.

Martin is the teenager who was killed in Sanford, Florida last month.  Neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder.
