Decatur Police say they are searching for two men who held up a convenience store at gun point.

It happened around 11 p.m. Monday at the Busy Bee Convenience store on Sadin Road and Shadow Point, just off the Beltline in southwest Decatur.

The store clerk and another employee finished closing up and were headed to their vehicles when two men wearing masks and gloves approached them and forced them back into the store at gun point.

One of the crooks struck the clerk in the head with a gun before the men grabbed the cash register and ran away on foot.

The robbers were last seen running behind the store.

Police have yet to make any arrests, but they did recover the cash register. They found it in a neighborhood yard behind the store.

The clerk was treated at a local hospital and is expected to be fine.
