Apartment Fire in Huntsville; Four Families Affected

An apartment fire in south Huntsville damaged four units late Tuesday night.

Huntsville Fire & Rescue responded to the Hunters Ridge Apartments at 4103 Hunters Ridge Drive around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday.  It took crews about ten minutes to put out the fire.  Investigators say it began in Apartment 11 with most of the damage in the kitchen.  Three other units have smoke damage.

The American Red Cross is helping the 8 adults and 3 children who are without a place to stay right now.  One person was taken to Crestwood Medical Center to be treated for smoke inhalation.
